Abstract
Everyday thousands of IoT devices are added to networks globally. Medical IoT (IoMT) is a subdomain, which has had much success over recent years and is expanding rapidly. However, interoperability is poor with IoMT devices, and even the sharing of basic patient data is generally poor between healthcare systems. There is considerable waste and unnecessary duplication of data across devices, which grows exponentially across healthcare systems. Multi-agent systems have the potential to reduce waste and expenditure while improving efficiency and personalizing patient care and may offer the potential to realize both organizational and patient care benefits.
